Health and Safety Resources for all Early Education and Child Care Programs

Healthy Child Care America and the Pennsylvania Chapter, American Academy of Pediatrics/Early Childhood Education Linkage System (PA AAP/ECELS) presented a webinar on May 20, 2015 highlighting health and safety resources that can be used by Head Start and other early education and child care programs to improve quality.

Pediatrician Dr. Colleen Kraft from the NCH, Healthy Child Care America (HCCA),  Dr. Susan S. Aronson, Pediatric Advisor from the PA AAP/ ECELS and  Beth Baker, family services director of Children’s Village presented. Participants learned how a Pennsylvania child care center combines Head Start and child care services in everyday routines.

This webinar will benefit many audiences, including: center directors, teachers, Head Start staff, child care health consultants and advocates,  family child care providers,  and Quality Rating Improvement System (QRIS) administrators and technical assistance staff. Users of the recorded webinar who work in Pennsylvania and submit a completed evaluation form to ECELS are eligible for both PA Key and Act 48 credit. Eligibility for both types of credit for use of the recording was confirmed after the live webinar was recorded.
