Health and Safety Consultation in Child Care: This five-part, 2 DVD set offers both self-instruction and multimedia presentation segments about health and safety in early education facilities. In addition to the explanations of the role of the child care health consultant, the DVD discs include observation segments to practice identifying strengths and areas to improve, forms and lists for health consultation activities. ECELS gives the DVD at no charge to Directors and Child Care Health Consultants in Pennsylvania. For Pennsylvania users, submission to ECELS of the completed tasks outlined in the self-learning module that uses the DVD earns\ 3 hours of CME or 0.3 CEU credits from the University of Pittsburgh, and credit in the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS system. For credit, users should complete the self-learning module tasks described in the Professional Development/Training section of this website as "Health Consultation-Self Learning Module."
