WellCareTracker™

This online tool assesses the completeness and timeliness of routine preventive health services received by children. Users enter the dates for immunizations and other health supervision services, such as vision and hearing screening or lead and anemia screening, and WellCareTracker™ determines which immunizations and/or services are up-to-date, currently due, or overdue based on the American Academy of Pediatrics' recommendations.

The software makes it easy to comply with the regulations that require documentation of up-to-date immunizations and other routine health services for all enrolled children. Young children need frequent updates of their routine health services. So a child who was up-to-date at the time of enrollment, may not remain up-to-date for the entire program year. At any point in time, users can generate reports for individual children to see if they are up-to-date. Parents can take this report to their child's health care provider to obtain needed services. In addition, the system generates reports that list the status of all the children whose information was entered.  This makes it easy to identify the children whose parents need to be reminded about what their children require. The website has model letters for parents and for health care providers as well as links to other useful information.  In PA, users of WellCareTracker™ are eligible to comlete a one-time activity for state-authorized professional development credit.
