ECELS awards state-authorized professional development credit for successful completion of professional development activities.  Click here for a brochure that lists many of the topics of the Self-Learning Modules and Workshops and the credit available for each. Look for notations on many of the offerings that indicate that these activities meet the Keystone STARS Level 2 Performance Standard for Health and Safety.

Make requests for workshops and self-learning modules following the instructions for the item. Some Self-Learning Modules are entirely on-line; others include audio-visual materials that ECELS provides.  All Self-Learning Modules require completion of a  Registration Form and payment of $10 per person for review of the module for credit.

ECELS arranges on-site health and safety workshops for early education and child care providers in Pennsylvania. Workshops can be subsidized if funding is available, or arranged on a fee-for-service basis. To learn more about which topics the state has approved to meet the STAR Level 2 Performance Standard for Health and Safety, click on the title of the workshop.  If a workshop on a health or safety topic is desired that is not specifically listed, ask ECELS to arrange for a workshop provided by a health professional who is an expert on this topic. You may discuss your workshop request by e-mail or telephone.
