PA AAP Programs

The Pennsylvania Chapter of the AAP (PA AAP) is a state level organization of approximately 2200 pediatricians who are dedicated to promoting the health and well being of children and the value of pediatric practice.

The PA AAP is a 501-c-3 not for profit incorporated educational organization. The main office is in Media, Pennsylvania where more than two dozen staff work on various programs and initiatives. In addition, the PA AAP has staff in 6 satellite locations around the state. Many of the member pediatricians participate as advisors, trainer educators and members of state advisory committees on issues related to children's health. The PA AAP educates parents, professionals and the public about the needs of children. The PA AAP accomplishes its mission through advocacy, education, quality improvement and practice support. In carrying out this mission, the PA AAP collaborates with any entities that touch the lives of children, including families, communities, media, public officials, insurers and other advocacy groups.

For more than 20 years, the PA AAP has worked in a public/private partnership with federal government, PA state government and foundations to meet the educational needs of pediatric professionals and the public as well as to accomplish public health goals. With experienced and committed staff, an established organizational infrastructure and our expertise in medical education, the PA AAP strives to improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
