National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners

The website of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners has handouts to download on topics such as Nutrition and Feeding, Flu, and Coping with Disasters and Traumatic Events. Also listed are websites for parents and caregivers which provide useful information on topics such as Vesicouretural Reflux (VUR), Pediatric Tracheostomy Care, Keeping Track of Medications, and many more. A few of the older handouts and links need to be updated. For example, the recommended amount of juice that children should be allowed to have is now less than 4 ounces in a day. However, most of the information is clear, current and easy for teachers and parents to use. Many of these handouts are available in English and Spanish. 12/2012
